Virginia Lois Spence, beloved mother and grandmother, 81, went home to be with her Lord on November 14, 2005. She was born August 31, 1924, in Radford, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard C. Spence; three brothers; and one sister. She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Godbey of VA; daughter, Kathryn Woods (Gary Woods, Sr.); and son, Tom (Kay) Spence. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends who will miss her dearly. She gave many years of service to the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and National City Bank, from which she retired. Lois was a faithful member of Christ Community Church. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Condon officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
