Virginia Merrick
Virginia Merrick, 87, went home to be with the Lord on November 1, 2009. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Civilian Conservation Corp. Preceded in death by her parents, James and Margaret Barth; and brother, James Barth. Virginia is survived by her loving husband of 17 years, John; brother, Burt (Rose) Barth; sister-in-law, Vivian Barth; step-sons, Mel (Cathy) Merrick, Garrett (Cheryl) Merrick and Kenneth (Beverly) Merrick; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Thursday, November 5, from 10 to 11 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 106 E. Howe Rd., Tallmadge, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Bishop John Crabtree officiating. Interment will follow at Copley Cemetery.
