Vivian Elaine (Cole) Colbert

Vivian Colbert of Tallmadge, Ohio passed away March 13, 2021 at the age of 54 after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born in Akron, Ohio on April 6, 1966. On February 22, 1981, she married her soul mate, Jerry Colbert Sr. Together they have two children and six grandchildren. They recently celebrated 40 years of marriage.

Vivian was a devoted employee at Western Reserve Hospital where she was known for lighting up the room with a bright smile wherever she went. She had a heart of gold and left an impression on everyone she met. She truly made a difference in so many lives. Vivian enjoyed traveling to the beach and spending time outside on sunny days. Most importantly Vivian loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

Survivors include mother, Wilda M. (Johns) Cole and father, Jim R. Cole Sr.; husband, Jerry Colbert Sr.; sons, Jerry (Wendy) Colbert Jr. and Benjamin (Tanya) Colbert; grandchildren, Kameron (April) Kukasky, Brycen Colbert, Austin Colbert, Lukas Colbert, Shawn Wagner and Olivia Wagner; brothers and sisters, Tracy Wayne, Jimmy Cole Jr., David Cole, Iva Wottle, Wanda Lucas, Denise Morgart, Peggy Bullock, Ruth Collier and Judy Wilkins.

Vivian is preceded in death by sister, Vicky Copen.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Saturday, March 20 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305. Funeral service will take place at 2pm on Sunday, March 21 with visitation from 12-2pm also at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations towards her funeral expenses.
