Walter H. Batter

Walter H. Batter, 85, of Stow, passed away October 19, 2004. Walter was born in Cincinnati and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired from Bellows Sign and later began his own glassblowing shop where he enjoyed making gifts for family and friends. Walter was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Stow Sunshiners. He was preceded in death by his wife, Florence; daughters, Bonnie Livingston and Mary Elizabeth Batter; his parents and three sisters. He is survived by his daughters, JoAnn (Joseph) Ross, Florence (Stephen) Spear, Bernadette (Randy) O'Blisk, and Jeanne (Larry) Cole; thirteen grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Stow. Prayers will be held at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery.
