Walter C. Eldridge

Walter C. Eldridge, 63, of Springfield Township passed away on October 22, 2018 surrounded by family after a brief illness.

Friends and family are welcome to visit Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. A short funeral service will follow at 6 pm with Pastor Bob Eldridge, officiating.

Walt will be remembered as a loving husband to Karen, and although he did not have children of his own, he was a father to Richie Eldridge, Randy (Michele) Eldridge, and Tammy (Justin) Roberts. Walt was a brother to Jane (Bob), Robert (Sharon), Danny (Marilyn), John (Joyce), Richard, Jerry, and Nancy (Buck); and was preceded in death by his parents; William and Elma Eldridge and brother, William. Walt was a brother-in-law to Doug (Tish), Keith (Pat), Michelle (Tom), and preceded in death by Debbie and Mike. Walt was a grandfather to Allen Roberts.

Walt worked for Shaffer's Produce for many years.

Walt will be missed by family and friends for his quick wit, teasing nature, and loving ways.
