Wanda B. Davis, 74, of Akron, went home to be with her Lord and Savior January 11, 2006. Wanda was born in Akron on July 12, 1931 and graduated from East High School. Throughout her life, she worked as a homemaker, a bookkeeper and also for Weight Watchers. She was a longtime member of the Akron Baptist Temple where she volunteered as a Sunday School teacher. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, crafts, and board games. Wanda never met a stranger and was devoted to her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Lyndell Stovall; mother, Agnes Adams; stepfather, Ralph Adams; and stepmother, Ruby Stovall. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul; children, Jeff, David (Deborah), John (Kathy), and Penny (Stan) Lipec; grandchildren, Sarah, Jeffrey, Isabella, Merrily, Emily, Amanda, Madeline, Victoria, and Daniel; brother, Lyn Stovall; and many relatives in Kentucky. Family and friends may call TODAY from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 p.m. at Akron Baptist Temple, 2324 Manchester Rd., with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
