Wanda J. Goodwin


Wanda J. Goodwin, 73, passed away on May 28, 2006. Born in Akron on December 25, 1932 to the late Kermit and Jennie Scott. Wanda had worked for "Time For Me" assisting families of handicapped children, and also as a bus attendant for Summit County MRDD. She had also made several missionary trips to Haiti throughout her life. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Paul G. Goodwin. Survivors include her daughter Jeana L. Takacs; sons Dr. Paul (Claudia), Robert, Joe, and Bill; sisters Wilma Jennings and Carol Dauberman; grandchildren Tiffany, Danielle, Rob, Mindy, Kelly, John Paul, and Kristen; great-grandchildren Vanessa, Tyler, Mackenzie, and Natalie; and special friend Christine Motley. Funeral service will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Evangelist Judy Carter-Schaefer officiating.
