Wanda M. Mcneil

Wanda M. McNeil, 87, passed away on June 6, 2011. Wanda enjoyed bowling, cards, and golf. She even achieved a hole in one. She was a "Rosie the Riveter" at Goodyear Aircraft during WWII and later worked at a machine shop. Wanda was a member of the Golden Agers at Firestone Park Community Center. Preceded in death by her husband, David H. McNeil; and brother, Leroy Hockman. Survivors include her son, David (Bobbi) McNeil; daughter, Judy McNeil; sister, Mary Moye; grandchildren, Brian McNeil, Michael (Brenda) McGhee, and Matthew McGhee; great-grandchild, Ryley McGhee. A memorial service will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service.
