Wanda M. White
Wanda M. White, 61, of Akron, passed away October 3, 2008 at Akron City Hospital. She was born July 28, 1947 in Akron, Ohio to the late Thomas and Bonnie (McKown) Harold. Wanda was a very family oriented person who was honest and strong-willed. She was a graduate of Springfield High School and a member of Falls Creek Community Church where she sang in the church choir with her husband and children. In her free time, she enjoyed fishing, floral art and sewing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lowell Harold. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, James White; son and daughter-in-law, Eric & Sandra White; daughter, Julie Walter; grandchildren, Breyanna and Sophia; brothers, Edward Dale (Sadie), Denis (Loretta) and Jerry (Linda) Harold. Calling hours will be Wednesday, October 9 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron and Thursday, October 10 from 10 - 11 a.m. at Falls Creek Community Church, 149 Northmoreland Ave., Munroe Falls where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Thomas officiating.
