Wanita Hazel (Thomas) "Nita" Stover, age 95 years passed away on Friday August 2nd, 2024. She resided at Breakwater Village in Lewes, Delaware at that time. Nita was born in Yolyn, Logan County, West Virginia, on January 12, 1929.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Rev. Glen E. Stover. She was also preceded in death by two grandchildren Carolyn Marie Stover and Ranee Elizabeth Stover; and two great-grandchildren Neb Marshall and Arijana Kustes.
She is survived by four children Glen H. (Kathy) Stover, Gene E. (Joan) Stover, Rev. Larry P. (Janet) Stover and Linda (Stover) Jeffrey. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
"Nita" was a many talented Pastor's wife and had a special love for children of all ages. She was also a cake decorator, flower arranger, public speaker, and instructor in many crafts. She did cooking demonstrations for television. She had a gift for taking the ordinary and making it into something artistic.
Visitation will be Saturday August 17th from 10-11 AM at Newcomer Funeral Home. Funeral services begin promptly at 11 AM. She will be interred at Grandview Memorial Park in Ravenna. To view the service virtually at the scheduled service time, please click here.
