An extraordinary and beautiful life journey ended on August 13th, 2024 when Wanita Carol (Cool) Hamrick went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Diana, West Virginia on April 10th, 1938, she grew up under the watchful eye of her beloved parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles. She graduated in 1956 from Webster Springs High School and met her husband of over 64 years, Paul Hamrick.
Carol was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who loved nothing more than caring for the ones she loved. She was a joy and an absolute blessing to everyone she came in contact with. She had a smile that would turn heads, a sense of humor that placed everyone at ease and a heart that loved greater than anything in this world. She was kind, caring and always showed the love of Christ with every aspect of her life.
Carol is proceeded in death by her father Orval Patrick "Dutch" Cool and her mother Retha Loretta "Mimmy" (Fisher) Cool.
She is survived by her beloved husband and life partner Paul Hamrick; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Patty Hamrick; granddaughter and husband Sara and David Robinson; great-grandchildren Steven Paul and Danica Rose; along with her sister-in-law; brothers-in-law; and many nephews, nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces . Wanita Carol is also survived by her granddaughter and very, very best friend, Amanda Hamrick.
Per Carol's request, she will be cremated and returned to her parents in West Virginia.
