Warren S. Hayes "Bootz"
Having accepted Jesus as his personal Savior, Warren S. Hayes "Bootz", 94, of Akron, passed away to his eternal reward on August 14, 2009. Bootz was born April 8, 1915 in Kent, Ohio to the late Fred and Jennie Hayes. He spent over 30 years in the trucking industry and retired from Consolidated Freight. In retirement, Bootz and his wife Bessie traveled to Flordia every winter for 25 years, where he enjoyed fishing. Bootz was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Bessie; children, Warren L. (Betty) Hayes, Carol (Jim) Benedum, and Nancy (Larry) Copen; grandchildren, Christina (Dave) Hodge, Sherman (Jennifer) Benedum, Shannon Benedum (Michael LaMarca), Jason Copen, and JoJo (Bill) Major; great-grandchildren, Danny and Deanna Kupar, Avery and Zach Major, Mitchel and Marissa Markusic, Abigail LaMarca, and Dylan Benedum; three special nieces, Claudia, Karen, Robin and their families; numerous loving nieces and nephews; Special friends , Violet , Raymond, and Karen A. The family would like to thank the staff of The Ledges and Ethel Marie and the staff of Senior Independence Hospice for all the care given to Bootz. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Senior Independence.
