Wayne H. Calcamp, 88, passed away on October 25, 2010. Wayne was born in Horseshoe Run, WV on December 16, 1921, to the late Gus and Lura Calcamp. He was a veteran of WWII, having served with the US Army. Wayne retired from M. B. Guran after 25 years of service and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and coon hunting in his younger years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lela Slaubaugh; brothers, Lawrence, Donald, and Cecil; and daughter, Anna Louk. Survivors include his wife, Norma; daughter, Djuana (John) Cooper; sons, Wayne, Jr., Charles, and William; stepchildren, Deborah (James) Carroll, Pamela May, and Robert (Mary) May; sisters, Virginia (Gay) Roth, Deloras (Leon) Kelley, and Juanita Stemple; brother, John (Jean); 2 granddaughters; 5 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Mary, Mary, and Lucy. Calling hours will be Thursday, 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 7 p.m.
