Wayne E. Roberts

Wayne E. Roberts, 61, of Springfield Township, passed away on July 4, 2005 at the Hospice Care Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 16, 1944 in Unicoi, Tennessee to the late Paul E. & Ruby E. (McLemore) Roberts. Wayne was a big fan of NASCAR, especially #6, Mark Martin. He also loved his time at camp. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Zella "Bunny" Roberts. He is survived by his sisters, Pat Hoskins, Bonnie (Larry) Jones, Debbie (John) Wilson, Paula (Mike) Roberts and Gina (Steve) Goldinger; brothers, Paul (Crystal), Leonard and Matt; his loving nieces, nephews and many friends. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. Thursday until the service begins. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron OH 44333.
