Wendell H. Whitsett 12/30/30-3/21/2008
Dad, You have no idea the footprint of love you have left in the hearts of each member of our family. Your children and grandchildren seem to have a passion for the gift of words that without question was passed on by you. And yet, there are no word to express our deep gratitude and heart felt love for you that will remain in our hearts forever. Your love commitment, and respect for Mom, was abundant and immeasurable, possibly the greatest gift of all! You have left a legacy of the importance of God and family to your children and grandchildren. Not a day will go by in any of our lives that we could ever forget your beautiful blue eyes, unique sense of humor, your unbelievable work ethics, love of our country, your grammatical correction, and love for your family. Thank you for giving us good moral direction and love of southern gospel music! What we live by faith, now you live by sight! Say hi to grandma, grandpa, send our love to all of our family and friends who are with you now, and give Aunt Sally a kiss from us all. We promise we will try to keep the children's fingers off the walls! Wendell was preceded in death by his mother and father (Bessie and Edgar), sister (Ora Mae), brother (Milton). He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years (Freda), son: David (Barbara), daughter: (Gail), brother: Clarence (Clara), grandchildren: Craig, Carrie, Denise, Dawn, and Michael, his three little "Greats" Aisley, Mackenzie, and baby Gavin, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
