Werner "Sy" Seiler
Werner "Sy" Seiler, 72, of Cuyahoga Falls, went to be with the Lord on October 10, 2013. He was born in Mannheim, Germany on December 6, 1940 to the late Karl and Olga Seiler. Werner came to the United States in 1961 and joined the U.S. Air Force. He retired from the Air Force in 1981 after 20 years of service. After his military service, Sy worked many years as an electrician. He had a generous spirit and supported orphan children in other countries. He was a member of the VFW.
Sy will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Ruth; children, Michelle (Marcus) Brown and Brian (Kristin) Seiler; stepchildren, Duane Edwards and Vernita (Jerome) Howard; siblings, Guenther (Ingrid) Seiler and Gertrude (Wilhelm) Kempf; grandchildren, Darius Brown, Zavien Brown, Evie Seiler, Caleb Seiler, Alecia Smith, Akeen Brown, Dwayne Howard, Cheyenne Hamonds, and Leslie Hamonds; best friends, Kenneth and Barb Miller; and faithful pet, Argo.
A committal service will be held Thursday, October 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society.
