Willa Nyoka Ice

Willa Nyoka Ice, age 75 of Akron, Ohio, died on September 15, 2018 at her home.

She was born on March 13, 1943 in Pasadena, Maryland, the daughter of the late Ola and Ruby Opal (nee Smith) Wolford.

Willa was primarily a homemaker and her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Some of her interests were gambling in Las Vegas, playing bingo, an avid Walmart shopper, and loved going out to dinner with her family.

Survivors include her children, Tamorah "Tammy" L. Hileman, Thomas "Tom" L. (Juanita) Ice, Sr., and Stephen "Stevie" A. (Kathryn) Ice, Sr.; her grandchildren, Joshua "Josh" (Nate Jewett) Hileman, Jason "Jay" (Shon Walker) Hileman, Spencer Ice, Thomas "Tommy" (Kacie) Ice, Jr., Cory (Tessa) Ice, Kristin "Krissy" (Shawn) Smith, Stephanie "Steph" (Mark Funk) Ice, Stephen "Bub" (Keri Litton) Ice, Jr.; and her 11 great-grandchildren. Her siblings also survive, Richard Wolford and Betty (Homer) Underwood.

Willa is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Spencer Lee Cottrill on November 7, 1963, they were united in marriage in 1959; her siblings, Russell Arbogast, Donnie Wolford, and Geraldine Scott.

Memorial services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 3:00 PM, where family and friends may visit from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
