Willard R. Bowser
Willard R. Bowser, 78, went home to be with the Lord and beloved daughter, Trina on January 23, 2007. He was born in Alum Bank, Pennsylvania on May 17, 1928 to the late Scott & Carrie (Myers) Bowser. Willard resided in Tallmadge since 1958. He was a U.S. Army veteran and later retired from Goodyear Aerospace with 41 years of service in plant security. Willard was a member of Grace Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Archie (Genevieve) and Kenneth; sisters, Thelma (Foster) Fleegle and Dorothy (Ray) Overbeck; father-in-law, Harry W. Yingling; step-father-in-law and mother-in-law, Elwood & Trixie (Yingling) Dick; brother-in-law, Paul Yarnall. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Joyce; sons, Randall (Gerri), Bradley (Patricia), Timothy (Susan), and Rodney; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Bonnie (George) Weisel and Zelphia Yarnall; brother-in-law, Harry J. Yingling and his little buddy, Jimmy Baxter. He loved deer hunting, camping, fishing with his family and just being out in nature - especially back in PA at his homestead and riding his 4-wheeler. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 - 10 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastors Phil Hulgin and Willie Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
