Willard "Bill" L. Reed, age 75, passed away on April 14, 2006. He was born on May 22, 1930 in Harrison City, WV. Willard played and loved bluegrass music and festivals. He played many instruments. Willard is preceded in death by his mother and father, Effie and Otto Reed and 11 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Mary Louise (nee Lough) Reed, step-son Ralph (Clara) Mathes, 2 daughters of California Linda (Bob) Stanland and Debbie (Butch) Farmer, 2 step-grandsons Allen (Sandy) Mathes and Kenneth (Lisa) Mathes, 3 granddaughters Brenda, Tonya and Jessica, 3 step-great-grandchildren Wendy, Kurtis and Kaela Mathes, 2 great-grandchildren Eddie and Brittni, many nieces and nephews including his special niece Debbie (Richard) Wise. Calling hours will be on Monday, April 17, 2006 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH 44305, where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Frisbee officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
