William A. Beatty, 88, passed away on December 21, 2005. William was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army. He retired from Ford Motor Co. and was a member of Compass Point Chapel and American Legion Post #255. Preceded in death by his son Carl. Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Wilma; son Allen E. (Karla); daughters Diane M. (Chuck) Dobbins, Cathy J. (Al) Menolds, Janet J. (Kim) Kelley, Paula A. (Russell) Kay, and Patti J. (Don) Coburn; sister Doris; 22 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Monday, 4-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Hillside Memorial Park with military honors provided by Mogadore V.F.W. Post 8487.
