Funeral Service for William Leon Anderson Jr. will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home. Visitation will take place from 11-12 prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.
Brother William L. Anderson Jr. a.k.a. “Pee Wee”, transitioned to a new life on September 8, 2024. He was born February 7, 1961 to the late William L. Anderson Sr. and Willie Pearl Anderson in Ft. Rucker, Alabama. He graduated from North High School in 1980. He was a member of the United States Marie Reserves and was called to active duty to be in the Armed Forces in Beirut, Lebanon.
William excelled at anything he put his hands to. His favorite subject was fashion design and he was known as “Akron’s Favorite Tailor”. William was a true “Jack of all Trades”. If you needed something done, you could call on him. From car repairs to home repairs, there was nothing he couldn’t do. He was a harder worker and had a great sense of humor. He was also known for tickling all the kids.
William was a lifetime member of Saints Temple Ministries where he participated in the choir, and music ministry. He had the gift of helping hands because he was a blessed handyman. He was a major pillar in the Saints Temple Renovations.
William L. Anderson Jr. was preceded in death by his parents William L. Anderson Sr. and Willie Pearl Anderson; sisters Kimbal and Gail Anderson; step-son Diaire Palmer. He is survived by ex-wife Vickie Anderson; daughters LaToya (Justin) Greer, and Brittany Anderson; brother Mark Anderson; nieces Kandice Anderson, Jamie Anderson, Cody Christian, Premiere Anderson, and Aubri Anderson; nephew Phillip Anderson; step-daughter Marshell Palmer and step-son Dionte Palmer Sr.; grandchildren Jordyn Chasteen, Kennedi Hughes, Raelyn Anderson, Corniyah Lee, Cornielus Lee, Dointe Palmer Jr., Deandre Palmer, Nyasia Palmer, Kyla Palmer, and Danaja Palmer; great-granddaughter Journi Burton. Special cousins Pastor Terry (Cheryl) McKenzie, Darlene (Robert) Freeman, Daryl Miles, the late Bradley Miles, and his father Uncle John Miles, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
