William B. Snyder
William B. Snyder, 75, of Akron, went home to be with the lord on June 26, 2006. He was born July 17, 1930 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Bernard & Hazel Snyder. William served in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant. He worked for 34 years at Roadway Trucking as a driver before retiring. In his free time, he enjoyed photography, golf and working in the yard. He attended Springfield Baptist Churchand was a member of the Teamsters Local #24 and Roadway retirees club. Most of all he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dottie (nee Willming) Snyder; daughters, Kathy (Charles) Sopko and Julie (Mark) Smith; grandchildren, Alisa, Britteny, Ashley and Cody; great-grandchild, Riley; sister, Betty Ridgeway. A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, June 30 at 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N Canton Rd, Akron, with Pastor Sam Rittenour officiating. Family will receive friends from 6 pm until service begins. Inurnment will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
