William Richard Banks, age 75, of Uniontown, Ohio, died on October 31, 2018 at Pleasant View Care Center.
He was born on May 24, 1943 in Conway, Kentucky, the son of the late John G. and Edna Bell (nee Lester) Banks.
William enjoyed fishing, collecting knives, gardening, and he loved to go to auctions.
Survivors include his wife, the former Chloe L. Sallee, whom he married on February 18, 2000; his children, Therisa A. "Terrie" Steele, Aimee J. (Keith Johnson) Steele, and Clarence H. (Vickie) Steele; his 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. His sisters, Alice, Martha, and Brenda also survive.
Other than his parents, William was preceded in death by his daughter, Evelyn S. Baughman; his grandson, Alex Baughman; and his brothers, Bobby, Elmer, and Ollie Banks.
There will not be any calling hours or services and arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
