William "Bill" H. Camp Jr., 76, of Akron, passed peacefully with his family by his side on September 6, 2023. He was born on January 11, 1947 and graduated from Central Hower in 1965. He proudly served in the US Army from 1965-1968. Bill was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He loved spending time with his family, whether it be camping or family picnics. He loved boating and water sking, and working on his 1969 Torino. He was an extremely hard working man that held his job for 36 years at East Ohio Gas and retired as a Supervisor of Gas Operations.
He was always able to see the good in people and willing to lend a helping hand to those that needed it. He was a proud member of the Randolph Lions Club and worked on Habitat Homes in his spare time.
Bill was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Doris and William Camp; uncle and aunt, Russell and Kathleen Camp; and brother, Terry Camp.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Nancy Camp; sisters, Irene McCulty and Carol (George) Kunzin; brother, Michael Camp; children, Antoni Camp, Christina McNutt (Patrick Leonard), Patty Camp (Michael Stevenson), and Billy Camp (Suzie Feran-Camp); grandchildren, Christopher, Brendan, Meredith, Kathleen, Joshua (Kailey), Gary (Shelby), Noah, Joey, Kylie, and Danny; great-grandchildren, Veronika, Korbin, and Karter; special nieces and nephews, Tommy, Shawn, Sarah, and Zachary; along with many other loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will take place on Thursday September 14, 2023 from 4pm until 7pm at Newcomer 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
