William H. Cofer

William H. Cofer, 91, passed away peacefully at home February 22, 2025 with family by his side. Born in Cullman, Alabama to Henry and Mary (Vargo) Cofer, he resided in Norton, Ohio all of his adult life. William retired from Firestone Tire & Rubber Company after 42 years of service. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. William enjoyed mentoring youth through coaching and umpiring little league baseball back in the 70's, golfing with family and friends, building model airplanes and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his infant son, Michael; grandson, Brian. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 67 years, Mitzi; sons, Bill, Brian (Sherri), Kevin; granddaughters, Courtney (Deven), Katrina; great grandson, Blake; brother, Jimmy Cofer; many nieces, nephews, friends and golf buddies.

Per William's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal services. Those who wish may make memorial donations in William's name to Summa Hospice.
