William "Jack" Collum
January 10, 1945 — August 28, 2023
William "Jack" Collum Sr. passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023 knowing that he was loved. Born in Tennessee on January 10, 1945 Jack spent several years working as a truck driver hauling steel. He was proud of his work and felt blessed to have seen most of the country.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Hershel and Opal Collum; brothers Tommy, Kenny and Roger; and sister Shirley.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters Nora (Gary) and Marlene; brother Leonard; his children, Steven, Jackie, Chouna, Shannon (John), Missy, Billy, Jack Jr. (Johnna), Tommy (Amy), Slena (RC), David (Lori) and Terry; 20 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held September 7th from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 1:00pm with Brother Troy Snider officiating.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in Jack's honor to Victory Chapel 32 W. Bellilsle Dr. Akron, OH 44319
