William D. Burke

William D. Burke, age 75, passed away on February 12, 2013. He was born on November 13, 1931 in Akron, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Nettie Burke. Bill enjoyed riding his bike, coaching Little League for the Royals baseball team and volunteering at local hospitals. He was involved in the UAW Cap Council, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the VFW Post #1062 in Cuyahoga Falls. Bill retired from the Chrysler Twinsburg Stamping Plant after over 42 years and was a member of Local 122. He served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survived by his wife of 49 years, Pat Burke of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; sons, Ronald (Melinda) Burke of Indianapolis, IN and Randy Burke of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; granddaughter, Michaela Burke; brother, James (Pamela) Burke of Hudson, OH; nephews, James and Jeff Burke; sister-in-law, Barbara Holbert of Akron, OH; many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Friday, February 15, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. Guests may attend a luncheon at the VFW hall in Cuyahoga Falls following the visitation.
