William F. Duty Jr.

William F. Duty Jr., 66, of Akron, passed away on May 15, 2018. He was born in Gallatin, Tennessee to the late William and Eunice Duty Sr.
William was employed at American Spring and Wire for 40 years.He loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing, boating, and gardening. He and his wife Sherry enjoyed traveling, particularly on cruises. He was also a car and motorcycle enthusiast and loved to work on vehicles.
William will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 43 years, Sherry Duty; daughters, Shawna (Bobby) Sabas and Betsy (Chuck) Petty; siblings, Polly (Howard) Bogus, Sheila (Freeman) Thompson, and Don Duty; sister-in-law, Phyllis Harmon; grandchildren, Helena, Landon, and Julian Sabas, Joseph (Jessica), Andrew (Amera), John, and Daniel Counts; great-grandson, Jacob; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 10-12 followed by a 12 noon memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
