William "Willie" E. Magrell
William "Willie" E. Magrell, 17, died on March 19, 2005 as the result of a traffic accident. He was born April 1, 1987 in Ravenna, Ohio. Willie attended Waterloo Schools and Maplewood Career Center studying Precision Machining. He started racing Quarter Midget Sprint Cars at age 9 until he was 16 and graduated from the Q.M.A. Ranks and became a USAC Driver in the Ford Focus Midget Ranks. Willie was employed part-time at Petrox Inc. in Poland, Ohio and had many friends at the Atwater Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley R. Magrell on June 19, 2003. Willie is survived by his parents, William E. & Tracy A. (Carrigo) Magrell, Sr. of Atwater; sister and brother-in-law, Stacey M. & Michael Lang of Randolph; paternal grandfather, Norman C. Magrell, Sr. of Atwater; maternal grandparents, Beverly & Ed. Lupton of Streetsboro; several aunts, uncles and cousins; many friends too numerous to mention. A funeral service will be held Thursday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. beginning at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Ken Bulgrin officiating. Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the service begins. Interment will follow the service at Atwater Cemetery.
