William F. Lange
Surrounded by his family, William F. Lange went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 after a courageous 8 year battle with three kinds of cancer. He was an inspiration to those who knew him and a hero to those who loved him. A devoted and loving husband and father, he leaves to mourn his death his high school sweetheart and wife, Mary Elaine; children, Jonathon D. & Crystal Lange, Rachel (nee Lange) & Mike Stanar; granddaughters, Siena Lange and Leah Stanar. He also leaves behind his brother, Rick Lange; brother and sister-in-law, David & Dora Anne Lange; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Roy Woodall, Bill & Bette Jean Lyons; aunt, Ruth Drews; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, Marie & William Lange and sister, Marianne Woodall. He was a current member of The Chapel Green Campus and a former member of Zion Lutheran Church where he served as a head trustee, school board member and basketball coach. He was a graduate of Ellet High School Class of '66, a member of Toastmasters Club #151 and involved in the Akron Soap Box Derby. The family wishes to thank Drs. George Thomas Budd, Michael Maggio and John Jacobs; nurses, Kathy Jenkins and Marie Shoup; the staff at Crossroads Hospice for their excellent health care; and Rev. Eloy and Pat Pacheco for their spiritual care; also, Roger Meyer and the Commercial Electric Staff for generosity and help during his illness. The family will receive visitors this Saturday, June 12, 2010 at The Chapel Green Campus from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 11:30 a.m. You are cordially invited to a luncheon in his honor following the service.
