William "Mike" Hersman, 70, of Akron, passed away on January 3, 2023 at his home. He was born in Walton, WV on October 28, 1952 to the late Hollie and Wanda {Harper} Hersman.
In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his sister Linda Payne and several brothers.
Mike is survived by his daughters Christy Melius, Tracy Black, Mechele Nangle and their families. He will be dearly missed by his brother-in-law Gary B. Payne, Sr.; niece Tammy (Mark) Jensen; 2 nieces and a nephew.
Mike was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. In his free time, he was an avid fisherman.
Per Mike's wishes, cremation will take place, and he will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio.
