William J. A. "Bill" Nave
Bill, age 60, took his next step on the journey of life on March 2, 2011. He was born on June 13, 1950. He graduated from the University of Akron, Kent State University and Case Western Reserve. After four years in the U.S. Air Force, he returned to Akron. He spent the next 26 years as a Social Worker for the County of Summit Dept. of Job and Family Services from which he retired in 2006. Bill is preceded in death by his father, William; mother, Florence (Sdono); and son, Matthew. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 39 years, Joyce; son, James (Katherine); grandchildren, Anthony, Samantha, Riley, and Bobbie; and brothers, Michael and John Nave, and Tim Leake. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 7, from 4 to 7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a service will follow at 7 pm with Father Edward Burba officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Akron.
