William "Jim" Bradley, Jr.
William "Jim" Bradley, Jr., 69, of Kent, died September 3, 2005 after a couragous battle with cancer. Born May 27, 1936 in Akron, Ohio, he served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. After the Military, Jim was a long distance truck driver, working for several different trucking companies, retiring from Roadway Express in 1985. He was a member of the Teamsers Local 24 (Akron, OH) and Local 407 (Cleveland, OH). He was preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years, Mary E. Bradley; son, James S. Bradley; father, William J. Bradley, Sr.; mother, Geraldine Bradley; and sister, Shirley Fillian. He is survived by wife, Grace E. Bradely; son, Paul (Beth) Bradley; daughter, Becky Rechel; step daughters, Elaine Leitch (Larry) , Lori (Jerry) Yaceczko, Connie Stormer; step son, Steve Myers; and brothers, Jon (Kathy) Bradley, Mike (Tennie) Bradley and David Gould; 20 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many other loved ones. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Mike Prebynski officiating. Interment will follow at Ohio Western Reserve Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
