William J. Deitch

William J. "Bill" Deitch, 74, passed away on January 16, 2011. Bill was born in Akron on January 12, 1937 to the late Martin and Ruth Deitch. He served with the US Air Force and retired from General Tire and Rauh Rubber. Bill enjoyed boating, fishing, water skiing and gardening. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his aunts and uncles. Survivors include his wife, Marian, of 54 years; daughters, Gail (Steve) Abernathy, Ruth Deitch and Rhonda Deitch; son, Craig (April); sister, Margaret (Joe) Cirjak; brother, Tom (Ann); 6 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and dear friends, Doug and James. Calling hours will be Thursday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 1 p.m. Interment at Restland Cemetery in Brimfield.
