William Francis Johnson, 60, of Akron, passed away on July 7, 2020. He was born on July 15, 1959 in Tucson, Arizona to William and Della Johnson. Billy proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was trained as a Red Eye Chaparral technician before being stationed in Korea. Upon leaving the service, he made his career as an electrician and general contractor. Billy loved the outdoors and could often be found hunting and fishing. He faithfully played the lottery each week and was luckier than most. Billy now joins his grandparents, Mary and John Golden and Okey and Helen Constable; and nephew, Aaron Galambos. He will be dearly missed by his parents, William and Della Johnson; children, Cheyenne Benz, Destiny (Bill) Stoddard, and Tristan Johnson; siblings, Theresa Hutchison, Jonathan Johnson, Judy Galambos, and Edward (Tonya) Johnson; grandchildren, Hunter Coffield and William Stoddard; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Family and friends may visit on Friday, July 10, 2020 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Billy will be laid to rest on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Central Chapel Cemetery in Barbour County, West Virginia.
