William R. Kays passed away on August 19, 2022 at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Hamric; brother, Don Rowles; sister-in-law, Bernadine Rowles; and his favorite fur baby, Abby.
Bill was born in Curwensville, PA but lived most of his life in Ellet. He served in the U.S. Army Navy for 4 years. He worked for Ohio Edison as a maintenance supervisor for 25 years, retiring in 1994.
He was an avid scuba diver and pilot. He also enjoyed going on cruises, trips to Alaska, along with camping and fishing.
Bill is survived by his wife of 60 years, Beverly; daughters, Karen (Rich) Abrams of Mogadore and Tina Baldinger of Ellet; granddaughter, Maggie (Taylor) Baker; great-granddaughter, Ella Marie Baker of Mogadore; brother, Rev. Thomas Harmic and family; nieces, Rhonda (Travis) Kyler and family, Beth (Tim) Myers and family in PA.
Bill was so proud of his only granddaughter, Maggie Baker "Baby Bop" for becoming an RN and a mother.
Per Bill's request, there will be no services. Cremation has taken place and he will be laid to rest at Hillside Memorial Park.
May he rest in peace. Loved by all.
