William Dale Kirby

William Dale Kirby, "Bill", age 61 of Akron, Ohio, suddenly passed away on August 10, 2017.

He was born in Akron on November 11, 1955 the son of Margaret Shane Kirby of Akron and the late Franklin Kirby.

Bill was a graduate of East High School and owned and operated Bill Kirby Painting. He also worked for 22 years for Summa Health Care as a painter. He was a perfectionist painter and master gardener who took pride in his children and his cars. Known for unselfishly giving of his time and his talents to family, neighbors and friends.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his two daughters, Allison N. Kirby of Akron, and Sarah Sisson of Columbus; his step-son, Matthew Sisson; his sister, Sharon (Gary) Morrison of Akron; and many nieces and nephews. His companion of 17 years, Theresa Greathouse and her children, also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Wedgewood United Methodist Church , 2350 Wedgewood Drive, Akron, where Pastor Sam Martin will celebrate Bill's life.

Family and friends may visit from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, and again, one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
