William L. McCabe

William L. "Bill" McCabe, age 78, of Mogadore, passed away on August 28, 2024 at Akron City Hospital. He was born on November 9, 1945 to the late William and Betty McCabe in Akron, OH. 

Bill worked many years as a truck driver before his retirement. 

On July 29, 1967, he married Frances M. (nee DiDomenico) McCabe. Bill and Frances lived in Mogadore, OH for their entire life together. 

He was a member of Mogadore VFW. He loved to golf and went on an annual golf trip in April with his friends and his son, Mark. Bill also cherished his animals, especially his dogs, Tessie, Max and Gucci. He enjoyed repairing small engines in his free time. Bill was a loyal fan of Mogadore's football team. 

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Frances; son, Mark McCabe; daughter, Michelle McCabe; brother, Tom (Brenda) McCabe; and cousin, Ed (Carolyn) McCabe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Bob McCabe; and sister, Pat James.

Per Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no formal services planned for this time.
