William E. Monk
William E. Monk, 78, of Springfield Township, passed away February 8, 2005 at Akron City Hospital. He was born March 5, 1926 in Akron, Ohio to the late William & Margaret Monk. William was a member of Greentown Nazarene Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Ellen (Stoffer) Monk. He is survived by his daughtger, Marie (James) Mason; sons, William, Robert (Carolyn), James (Sandra), Charles and Jeff; grandchildren, William II, Robert, Jason, Michelle, Tara, Julie, Rachelle, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Pam and Roger; and 5 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Thursday from 7 - 9 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ed Spangler officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Uniontown.
