William "Bill" Oser, 79, of Uniontown, Ohio, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 18, 2024. Bill was born on May 20, 1944, in Akron, Ohio, to his late parents, William and Ruth Oser. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara Null-Bergdorf, Shirley Price (Dennis), Karen Wyatt (Bob), and John Oser.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Nancy (DiBenedetto) Oser, their son Gregg (Alyson), and daughter Gina Ciancio (Pat). He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, Taylor (Laura), Kasey, Kennedy, and Grant, as well as all of those who called him "Uncle Bill", extended family members and friends.
After graduating from Hoban High School, Bill proudly served in the United States Navy. After returning from the Navy, Bill and Nancy were married at St. Bernard Catholic Church on May 28th, 1966.
Bill started his career at Goodyear and retired from Meggitt after 41 years of service. Coworkers often shared how his mentorship and support elevated their careers and how his attention to detail was unmatched.
Outside of work, Bill had a passion for fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He enjoyed success as a competitive Bass fisherman in local tournaments with his friends. He cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. He loved the beach, especially palm trees, family cabin trips as well as walks at Quail Hollow State Park with Nancy and their dog Dixie.
A celebration of life is being planned in May 2024.
Bill Oser will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, the unconditional love he showed all of those around him and the deep and unique connections he made with people. Everyone who knew Bill enjoyed his quick wit and caring personality along with the unique connection they had. Most will remember him for that "1 thing" they had that made their relationship special.
In lieu of flowers or donations, please consider doing something extra for your loved ones this week. This would be the most fitting way to honor a man who always did just a bit more for those around him and fill a small part of the void that his passing has left behind.
