William M. Peters

William M. (Bill) Peters, passed away into the loving arms of Our Savior Lord Jesus Christ on December 31, 2016. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandpa. He was born on March 20, 1946 in Orlando, Florida to the late Lowell and Libbie Peters.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during the beginning of the Vietnam War from 1963-1966 and worked at Consolidated Freightways until retiring in 2002. He loved working on computers and any new gadget that came out on the market.
In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Louise Cook. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Amy; brother, Robert (Anne) Peters of Alabama; brother-in-law, Darryl Hicks (Teri); children, Mike (Michelle) Bailey, Tammy (David) Hofer, Dennis (Leah) Bailey, Phillip (Karen) Bailey, Teresa (John) Watkins, Timothy (Lorah) Bailey. He was blessed with 21 grandchildren who loved him dearly: LeDea (Charlie), Mika (Matt), John (Tara), Andrew, Emily (Jon), Rodney (Erin), Dillon, Dakota, Kristine, Hannah, Sarah, Dustin (Katie), Cameron (Kara), Paul, Glenn, Jessica, Jodie, Jenna, Rochelle, Ben, Amy; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Jaden, Owen, Brennen, Adalynn, Aiden, Austin, Lily, Michael, Owen, Elaina.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 5, 2017 from 10-12 followed by a 12:00 noon funeral service with Pastor Don Rohrbacher officiating at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salt ABF c/o Maranatha Bible Church, 1424 Killian Rd., Akron, OH 44312.
