William Edward Pratt

William E. "Bill" Pratt, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born in Uniontown, Pennsylvania on January 11, 1940 to Marshall Wayne and Helen Jean (Burke) Pratt. He graduated from North Union High School, Uniontown, Pennsylvania in 1957.
Bill loved gardening and fishing with his wife. He was a proud member of the United States Airforce, where he serviced and maintained the Atlas E and Minuteman ballistic missiles during the Vietnam conflict.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dr. Patricia Summers; brother, Ronald Pratt; and grandson, Travis Collins.
He leaves to mourn, his adoring wife, of 33 years, Elaine R. Pratt; his loving daughter, Deborah K. (Jerry) Welch; grandsons, R.J. (Berlin) Clegg and Deion J. (Danielle) Dailey; four great grandchildren; one great-great grandson, sister, Marlyn K. (George) Curnow; and many nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305. Following well deserved military honors, Bill will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, 100 E Waterloo Rd, Akron, OH 44319.
