William R. Worrells

William R. Worrells, 71, of Springfield Township, passed away December 7, 2004 at Akron City Hospital. He was born April 5, 1933 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Charles & Lucille (Samuels) Worrells. William was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa and friend. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard, Charles and Jack Worrells. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Glada (Dickie) Worrells; daughters, Wanetah "Crickett" (Dave) Hutson of Springfield Twp., Kelly Jarvis of Suffield, Vickie (Randy) Robinson of Springfield Twp.; sons, Skip (Cheryl Gillman of Doylestown, Rick (Lorie) Gillman of Akron, Billy (Tammy) Worrells, Jr. of Springfield Twp., Dennis Jarvis of Akron; 21 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Helen "Sis" Castner of Cuyahoga Falls; many special friends. Funeral services will be held 7:00 p.m. Friday at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. with Pastor Paul Bloom officiating and Firestone VFW 3383 providing military honors.
