William S. Baker, Sr.
William S. Baker, Sr, 61, of Akron, passed away May 18, 2009. Bill was born January 30, 1948 in Cleveland to the late Alex and Helen Baker. He was a self-employed maintenance man and did subcontracting for Mosholder Realty. He was a member of the Akron Turner Club, the Mogadore Moose, and the Eagles 555. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trips to Put-in-Bay. Known as the candy man, Bill always had sweets for everyone. His wonderful sense of humor and funny jokes will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by Helen Brown; sons, William Jr, Sam (Stacy), and Brian and their mother, Bee Baker; grandchildren, Jordan, William III, Sam, Nicole, Carly, and Jarrett; and many friends. A celebration of Bill's life will be held Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Akron Turner Club, 547 Munroe Falls Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Akron Turner Club.
