William Kenneth Seymour

August 13, 1930 — June 9, 2021

William K. Seymour, "Bill", age 90, passed from this life on Wednesday, June 9 at his home in Brimfield, Ohio. Because of his faith in Jesus Christ, he is absent from his earthly body and has entered into the presence of his precious Savior where there is only eternal life. William (Bill) was born in Larue, Ohio on August 13, 1930, to Willard and Evelyn (Redd) Seymour. He attended Tallmadge High School class of 1949.

On June 14, 1952, he married the love of his life, Betty Parks, while serving in the U.S. Army. Honorably discharged in 1953, Bill and Betty made their home and raised their family in Tallmadge and Edinburg. He was faithful to Betty and kept his vows to love her until death. Bill died just 5 days before their 69th anniversary. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He set a great example for us all as he served the Lord and loved his
family well.

He retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1988 after 30 years of service. Bill and Betty enjoyed traveling and saw most of the United States as well a vacation through Europe. He also served on a missions trips to Hungary and Romania.

Bill and Betty were charter members of Mogadore Baptist Church where they served in various ministries for the last 59 years.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Robert.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; his children, Rob (Nancy), Karen (Wayne) Griffiths, Tom (Dale), and Steve (Christine); his grandchildren, David, Paul, Kim, Daniel, Matthew, Timothy, Joanna, Christopher, Valerie, Pamela, Steve, Sarah, Cameron and Carson, as well as, 19 great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to his daughter, Karen, and son-in-law, Wayne, for the loving care they provided for Dad in their home for the past 5 years.
