Willie Sanders, age 76 of Akron passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022. He was born in Demopolis, AL on February 3, 1946 to the late Willie T. Sr. and Willie Lee {Phillips} Sanders.
In addition to his parents, Willie was preceded in death by his partner, Lurene N. Hall, twin brothers, Willie T. Sanders Jr., brother John Sanders, sister Louise Brown and grandson Treshawn Hill.
Willie will always be fondly remembered by his daughter, April (Paul) Couch of Akron; step-daughters, Pamela Fairley of Akron and Tammy Hall of Cleveland; step-son, Robert Hall of Bedford; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Dessie (Henry) Sanders-Robinson, Callie Sanders and Joe (Monica) Sanders, all of Akron; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Willie was a longtime member of the Akron community. He was well known for his love of cars and his extensive mechanical knowledge. Willie was a friend and a father to many, and will be truly missed.
