Wilma V. Beatty

Wilma V. Beatty (nee Sheppard), age 85, resident of Tallmadge, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013. She was born on December 15, 1927 in Akron, Ohio to the late Russell and Alvergia Sheppard. She was a wonderful Christian woman who loved her family and took great comfort in helping and praying for others.

Wilma is survived by her children; Diane (Chuck) Dobbins, Allen (Karla) Beatty, Cathy (Al) Menold, Paula (Russell) Kay, Janet Kelley and Patti (Don) Coburn, brother Paul (Marlene) Sheppard, 22 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, many nieces, nephews and relatives. She was preceded in death by her husband William Beatty, son Carl Beatty and sister June Husk.

Friends may call 5-8 pm on Friday, October 4, 2013 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the funeral home with Pastor Chuck Marshall officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service, 400 Wabash Ave, Akron, OH 44307-2463.
