W. J. "June" "Bill" Hoover
Wilmer J. "Bill" Hoover, 78, passed away on May 10, 2006. Bill was a veteran of WWII, having served with the US Army. He was a life member of the Army Navy Club Post 102 and the VFW Post 8975. Bill also enjoyed woodworking. There wasn't a day that went by that he didn't make his family smile. Preceded in death by his parents Roman and Thelma Hoover; sisters Idalee and Jean; and brothers Bud, Jim, and Donnie. Survivors include his loving wife Emma Jean of 34 years; daughters Charlotte Wonn and Jane Dishman; step-children Linda (Jim) Lanham, Marilyn Rollyson, and Douglas (Julie) Hartman; sisters Dorothy, Juanita (Arnold) Kirkbride, Marilyn, and Betty; brothers Eldon (Marge) and Ronnie; grandchildren Michelle, Eric, Robert, Toni, Amber, Joey, Jacqueline, Teresa, and Doug; 15 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Judy; special buddies Bubba and Chewbug; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Hospice of Summa, especially Nat, for their care and support. Calling hours will be Saturday, 2 to 5 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
