Winifred "Fritz" Lehman

Winifred C. "Fritz" Lehman, 91, died April 4, at her home, in the loving arms of her family. Fritz was a lifelong resident of Ellet and a devout member of St. Matthew Church. She married Willis "Bill" Lehman on November 21, 1945, and celebrated 55 loving years of marriage until his passing. Those who knew Fritz knew that her family was the most important thing in her life. She and Bill's love and care remain a fond memory of their grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn "Kay" O'Hare and twin brother, Jack Carney. She is survived by her daughter, Lois (Jerry) Zito; son, Bill (Kelly) Lehman; grandchildren, Tim and Kevin Zito, Katie and Zack Lehman; great-grandchildren, Tali and Grady Zito; and lifelong friend, Rita "Dude" Dunlevy. A memorial mass will be held Friday, 11 a.m., at St. Matthew Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
