Winifred I. "Winnie" Miljak
Winifred I. "Winnie" Miljak, 81, of Akron, passed away November 30, 2010. Winnie was born September 27, 1929 to the late Earl and Virginia Sowers. She retired from the Summit County Board of Revision after 20 years of service. In her free time, Winnie enjoyed cooking and crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Antonio "Tony"; one sister and three brothers. Winnie will be deeply missed by her daughter, Terri (Jim) Hershman; sons, Mark (Pam) Miljak and Jack Miljak; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Friday from 3-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
